In the Instrument Comparison Session, international comparison of DI-meters will be made at four pillars located outdoors on the Kakioka Geomagnetic Observatory premises.
Each participating instrument will be allocated a 90-minute slot. The two-day event is scheduled for 26-27 October, and a maximum of 40 instruments will be able to participate in the intercomparison measurement during the event.
The observatory staff will make the results of the measurement available on the following day.
In order to obtain the results, the observers are kindly requested to enter the measurement results on a designated terminal.
For those results that are not satisfactory, we have reserved eight slots for re-measurements on the morning of 28 October. The registration for the instrument session is scheduled to open around April 2026.
